He travels a lot so it was important to us to be able to have the day off to enjoy our day together. When my boyfriend booked our couples retreat he made sure to ask and find out more about us spending Valentines together. We were really trying to talk to managers to fix our concerns with our experience and ultimately, we're leaving disappointed and feel like the spa at encore truly put a damper on our Valentines Day. The only reason Im giving this 2 stars is because the massages were nice and the therapists were good. I just posted this on Yelp but Im so disappointed and wanted to share here too: I'm a firm believer in treating yourself to at least one thing whenever you're on vacation and you're definitely treated like royalty here!
Encore spa yelp reviews skin#
I felt so relaxed during my experience and my skin felt so refreshed afterward! I received a hydrafacial by Dallas and she was amazing from start to finish. Additionally, you'll also have in and out privilege for the day with your service. The amenities are amazing (guava juice is on point!)! The spa attendants are friendly and accommodating and you're given a tour before your service. The prices are higher than other hotel spas, but everything at the Wynn and Encore are usually more inflated than others which is something you should keep it mind.

However, out of the two hotel spas, The Spa at Encore takes the crown. The Wynn and Encore are not only my favorite hotels in Vegas (not just because I got married at the Wynn, hehe), but their spas are also my favorites. I would expect a five star spa to accommodate all guests, especially when it is as simple as having some extra pillows or massaging a client lying on her side.Īm I still in Vegas? As soon as I stepped into the Spa at Encore, I felt as if I was transported to another world! The team that does the interior decoration, chooses the incense, and picked out the feng shui placement throughout the spa deserves 10 stars. As someone who frequents spas in Austin and also consistently during travel, I was completely shocked by these policies. As a physician, I know that massage and energy work are not only safe for pregnant people, but actually encouraged. I found their policies to be discriminatory against pregnant people and completely out of touch with scientific reasoning. I am especially disappointed since part of the reason I decided to stay at Encore was because I had heard amazing things about the spa. Even the Bodhi massage, which includes some energy work and color therapy, and even the foot massage was not allowable "for liability purposes." While it is totally normal for spas and therapists to take safety precautions (such as body positioning- preferring side lying positions or utilizing special pillows to remove pressure from the abdomen- or avoiding some types of aromatherapy or avoiding heated saunas and hot tubs), it is not normal for spas to have such blanket policies against services for pregnant people. I attempted to make spa appointments for the encore spa but the only service they would schedule a pregnant person for was a 50 minute prenatal massage. I am traveling to las vegas this weekend for a "babymoon" with my husband and staying at the Encore Tower.
